It’s been a run of PGA Tour purses in the past few weeks, with two straight signature events leading up to the second major of the year, the PGA Championship.
That makes this week’s CJ Cup Byron Nelson the first “regular” tournament on the schedule since the Zurich Classic. And while there won’t be a huge payout on Sunday at TPC Craig Ranch, there’s still a big paycheck waiting for Sunday evening’s winner.
The stage is set for great drama in the final round.
Si Woo Kim’s 36-hole lead was cut to just two with one round remaining. His closest runners: defending champion Scottie Scheffler and 2023 US Open winner Wyndham Clark, both just two shots behind. A total of six players are within five shots of Kim’s lead. Kim hasn’t won a PGA Tour event since the 2023 Sony Open and Clark’s last victory was the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
As for Scheffler, he’s looking for his second win of the season – and the 21st of his career – after three runner-up finishes in his last four races.
Byron Nelson’s 2026 CJ Cup cash total is complete $10.3 millionwith $1.854 million chosen by the champion.
