President Donald Trump has indicated that the bright new color of the National Mall’s reflection pool will be familiar to most Americans.
While speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, he said the display pool area is being repainted “with the blue American flag.”
When planning the renovation of the display pool, which Trump said was necessary because it was “dirty,” the president said his original color vision was green, “like in the Bahamas.” But a trusted old contractor Trump has worked with in the past assured him otherwise.
“He said, ‘What color would you like, sir?’ I said, ‘Well, how about turquoise like in the Bahamas?’ He said, ‘Well, this is Washington, sir, we can give you turquoise, but why don’t you try… We have a color, it’s called “American flag blue.” I said, ‘That’s my favorite color,'” she recounted.

Trump added, “He talked to me about it easily.”
Fox News Digital reported earlier this month that the president was renovating the famous Washington, DC landmark, which the Biden administration had neglected for years.
In a Public Truth document, Trump said he was working with Interior Secretary Doug Burgum on the project, the latest in a series of decorum initiatives directed by the Trump administration.
“Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and I are working to fix the dirty Pond between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument,” Trump wrote.

“This job should have been done by the Biden Administration, but Joe Olele doesn’t know what is ‘CLEAN’ or due care – what are the President and the Secretary doing!” he added.
Speaking in the Oval Office this week, Trump held up a picture of the lake’s progress so far, saying repairs should be completed in the next three weeks.
“You’ll end up with a beautiful, beautiful lake that shows. The way it should be. Much better than before, actually.”

He continued to speak to the media, saying, “I hope the media can come by and maybe watch them do it because I think it’s really fun.”
