The draw for the Internazionali BNL d’Italia will take place on Monday, 4 May at 10:30 am local time. The event will take place in the historic Piazza del Popolo.
Eyes will be on if Novak Djokovic, who is the sixth champion, reaches the same round as Jannik Sinner, who is number 1 in the world in the PIF ATP Rankings. The Italian on Sunday made history by winning his fifth consecutive ATP Masters 1000 title at the Mutua Madrid Open. Sinner, 24, will return home this week and aim for his first Roman title.
If Sinner wins at the Foro Italico, he will join Djokovic as the only men to complete the Career Golden Masters. The 38-year-old Djokovic has won all nine ATP Masters 1000 events twice.
Djokovic is expected to return to action for the first time since the fourth round in Indian Wells.
The main-draw action in Rome will take place from 6-17 May. The last five editions of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia have featured five different champions.
