‘Summer House’ star Lindsay Hubbard fires back at Michael Rapaport over comments

Actor Michael Rapaport got into a media battle this week with “Summer House” star Lindsay Hubbard after she called him “excessive.”
“This is a hot topic about Lindsay Hubbard and ‘Summer House,'” the “Traitors” alum said in a video on her Instagram Wednesday, adding, “I was advised not to speak on this as a straight, White male. However, I will not be silenced. I will not be silenced.”
“For now, and I say this with due respect – I know your history, I know you were left at the altar. I know you’re a queen. Old Mother Hubbard – Young Mother Hubbard, whatever you want to call her. I don’t want to get in trouble before I get my hot song.”
He then added, “Is Lindsay the strongest person on Bravo? Respectfully!”

She revealed that it has been two years since her boyfriend, Carl Radke, left her at the altar.
“And I was with you then. It’s been two years!” he said. “Is it time to call it quits?”
He argues that Hubbard’s entire story for the past two seasons on the show has been “Carl, Carl and Carl. Hating Carl, hating Carl’s mom, hating hugs. What else have you got, Lindsay? With respect! And with respect.”

He said Hubbard has been “minding Carl’s business” along with Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula. “What about you, Lindsay? And respectfully! I know this is hot. I know people are like ‘You’re a queen.’ Yes, she is a queen. He is all of those things.”
“But what have you been up to lately?” he sang.
Rapaport noted in the caption that his video was from his new Instagram where he offered “the hottest take on all things REALITY TV.”

She then shared another video of Hubbard taking shots at her, writing, “Uh-Oh!!!! Old Mom Hubbard didn’t like my last post!!!!!”
“Hey, Michael Rapaport, if you want to say something, turn on your f—ing comments,” Hubbard said on camera. “Don’t be a little b—-. You don’t want to do that. If you want to start a media war, enjoy going to war.”
He then reminded her that “you’re an old, white guy commenting on a very young single mother. Have you forgotten that I have a child? You think my only story for the past two years has been my ex?”

“Okay, well, maybe keep watching. You’ll see a very long conversation between me and Carl, and you’ll learn a lot. But too much? I’ve got many years to come, baby,” he drawled.
He captioned the video “@michaelrapaport dear I don’t like it when old white men pick on young women. Get a life bro.”
In the third video, Rapaport’s wife, Kebe Dunn, reminded him that she told him not to post the first video.

“You had to know he was coming for you,” Dunn replied and Rapaport said, “Yeah, but I didn’t know he was crazy. But I don’t know why he had to make a race fight?”
Dunn also questioned how it turned into a “media war” over Hubbard’s words, adding, “I thought he was right.”

They both realized that he meant “respectfully” and called her “queen.”
“Don’t be afraid, baby, you’re a mother,” advised Dunn.
Rapaport added, “Single mom, turning 40!”

“Good,” Dunn replied. “What’s so crazy? Didn’t he find humor in it?”
Rapaport initially said he didn’t think Hubbard had a sense of humor, prompting his wife to tell him “Shut up! Stop talking about this girl.

But Rapaport said he wanted to tell Bravo: “It’s not just young people who pay your bills,” Rapaport said. “It’s not just little girls.”

“It’s old White men like you, babe” Dunn joked, adding to the camera: “Lindsay, I told her not to say s—, K, girl, but we’re big fans. I don’t know why she says ‘overrated.’

They both agreed that “overwhelming” wasn’t the right word, and Rapaport ended the video by wishing Hubbard a happy 40th birthday — he turns 40 in August — and asking her to send him his address so he could send flowers.
“Because 40 is the new 23,” he said.
