The Mariners placed Cal Raleigh on the injured list

The Mariners fielded a catcher Raleigh on the 10-day injury list due to oblique strain. Catching partner Johnny Pereda he was sent back to Triple-A Tacoma to take his place on the roster.
There is no immediate timetable for Raleigh’s return. Daniel Kramer of MLB.com notes that he will get more analysis tomorrow when the club returns to Seattle. Raleigh has been trying to play through the pain in her oblique for over two weeks now. He has just two hits in his past 49 trips to the plate, making his season batting line .161/.243/.317.
