Everyone’s favorite medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy is getting a spinoff — and this time, it’ll be set in the dusty, rugged terrain of cowboy country.

ABC says it has given the one-hour drama a “straight-to-series order” — meaning the network is skipping the usual standalone pilot episode and moving straight to a full season.

The official line of the new series promises “an unlikely drama about a group in a rural West Texas medical center – the last chance for care before miles to nowhere.”

That choice of setting caused a mixed reaction from fans, many of whom are already speculating how the spinoff might tie back to the original series. Last chance medical center before the empty miles? The hallway is about to go a different way with tumbleweed and cowboy boots.”
