2026 NBA Finals: New York Knicks at San Antonio Spurs Game 2 best net and player prop bets

The New York Knicks stole Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals by coming back from a 14-point second-half deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 105-95 on Monday.
San Antonio is the heavy favorite even in this series. At FanDuel, the Spurs have a -225 money line and are -6.5 (-106) favorites at 215.5 as of 12:45 pm ET Friday.
If I had to take a side, I’d take New York +6, down to +5. Since I’ve tipped NYK to win the title (+170), and by at least 1.5 games (+270), before the 2026 NBA Finals begin, I’m not betting on San Antonio as the favorite in any game of this series.

What holds me back from picking up on the Knicks is the profitable trend of betting a heavy home favorite in Game 2 after losing the series opener. Usually, the home team makes a run in Game 2.
Anyway, I decided to disable the value, and I bet UNDER 215.5 in Knicks-Spurs Game 2, down to +212, and here’s why.
Best Bet for Game 2 of 2026 NBA Finals: UNDER 215.5
Look, I understand the concept of betting the Over in Game 2. You’re reeling from the result of Game 1, which went the way of the Under 217.5 total and the Knicks won 105-95. The “zigzag theory” is an old-school NBA playoff handicapping angle where you bet the opposite of what happened in the previous game.

Also, maybe both teams had jitters in Game 1 and will shoot better on their second night in the same gym for Game 2. The series opener was fast-paced, and better shooting should help Over Friday.
However, Game 1 going Down despite its fast pace has more to do with these teams playing championship level defense than the shooting differential. There were 50+ points scored in one quarter on Monday.
San Antonio forced Jalen Brunson into tough shots. New York Bulls Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson protected Victor Wembanyama well. These defensive wing teams play a big role in Brunson as well Wemby poor shooting in the series opener.

NYK wings Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Josh Hart, aka Wingstopclose Spurs wing Stephon Castle and PG De’Aaron Fox. They swipe the ball every time Wembanyama tries to beat one of his teammates off the dribble. Castle and San Antonio forward Julian Champagnie are trading assets for defenseman Brunson.
Also, I see these matches turning into “rock-fight” more than “kicking” as this series goes on. While I won’t “coach my bets,” I can tell you that the Spurs are better off dropping these games.

Their offense is not good enough to get into the top with the Knicks, who will be content to delay it because they have the best offense on the court.

There won’t be many “easy buckets” anymore. Both have low offensive attack rates and high rebounding defense rates, which should reduce turnovers and second-chance points.
Finally, I wait until it’s close to be helped before locking the bet on the Under. The amount can go up a lot because the public likes to bet on Overs, and most of the action comes in the hour before the match. This is one of the few NBA games where the public is moving a number since it’s the finals and the Knicks are in it.
Prediction: Knicks 107, Spurs 104
