3 cycle times: What we know
All players need to complete Friday’s second round before Saturday’s meet times for the 2026 US Open can be determined. Once the 2nd round is over, the cut will be made, with almost half the field heading home early. The survivors will play for the US Open title in the final two rounds.
We won’t know the official tee times until the last putt goes down Friday night, but there are a few things we do know. First, players will play in pairs in Saturday’s third round, with everyone starting the first game.
Additionally, the times for round 3 will be based on the leaderboard position, with the leaders holding the final pairing and starting in the afternoon. The players at the bottom of the leaderboard after the cut will play on the first Saturday morning.
We can look to the past to get a better idea of what this year’s tee times will be. On Saturday at last year’s US Open, JJ Spaun and Sam Burns square off in the final pairing at 3:35 pm ET. The first pairing of the day opens for Saturday’s action at 9:12 am ET.
You can expect Saturday tee times at the 2026 US Open to fall roughly between 8:30 am ET and 4 pm ET.
You can watch Saturday’s third round of the US Open from 10 am-12 pm ET in USA and 12-8 pm ET on NBC. You can also stream featured team news online via Peacock, USOpen.com and the USGA app beginning Saturday at 8:45 a.m. ET. Peacock will provide live coverage of NBC’s Saturday TV coverage.
