The Orioles selected a right-hander Albert Suarez by assignment, the team announced. Nearby Ryan Helsley he was returned to the death list to replace Suarez’s list.
Suarez threw a season-high 59 in mop-up duty after being inactive Trevor Rogers on Saturday. He allowed four runs, but all were unearned due to errors Adley Rutschman again Jeremiah Jackson. Suarez has given the club a reliable performance in the past three seasons. Baltimore may be hoping to sneak him off waivers and keep him as Triple-A depth. The list of 40 players of this club has decreased to 28 players following this action.
