Jannik Sinner is chasing his first Madrid crown.

Jannik Sinner is into the fourth round of the Mutua Madrid Open on Sunday, while local hero Rafael Jodar takes on #NextGenATP star Joao Fonseca in the third round tonight.

Sinner produced a clinical performance to defeat Elmer Moller 6-2, 6-3 and advance to the fourth round. With his one-hour, 17-minute victory, the Italian extended his ATP Masters 1000 winning streak to 24 matches. The offender will next face Cameron Norrie.
Rafael Jodar from Madrid defeated Joao Fonseca 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-1 in the first match of the Lexus ATP Head2Head. With the victory, the 19-year-old advanced to the fourth round of a Masters 1000 event for the first time.
Sixth-placed Lorenzo Musetti secured a straight-sets victory in the third round. The Italian player defeated Tallon Griekspoor 6-4, 7-5 in one hour and 40 minutes and next he will face Miami finalist Jiri Lehecka.
Earlier in the day, singles star Tommy Paul brought his magic to the doubles court. Competing against countryman Ethan Quinn, Paul surprised both his partner and opponents, Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic, by producing a world-class winner.
Elsewhere, Tomas Martin Etcheverry advanced by defeating Dino Prizmic 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the third round. The Argentinian will face Arthur Fils.
Defending champion Barcelona Fils advanced to the fourth round in Madrid for the first time with a 7-6(2), 6-3 win over Emilio Nava. With the win, the Frenchman extended his winning streak to seven.
Although Nava didn’t win, the American made sure to finish in style, hitting four straight aces to earn the match penalty.
