The Mets have announced that they are looking for an infielder Eric Wagaman off waivers from the Twins and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse. Minnesota had designated him to work last week. The Mets had 40 man cap space and didn’t have to make a corresponding move. The Mets also announced that they have signed an outfielder Austin Slater and designated foreign player Tommy Pham per share, the moves reported yesterday.
