Two Virginia natives are trying to put on UFC Freedom 250 naked before fight night.
A federal lawsuit filed against the National Park Service and the Department of the Interior seeks an emergency order to stop the UFC event scheduled for the White House South Lawn.
According to the lawsuit, the promoters ignored government permit laws, bypassed environmental reviews and caused conflicts of interest.
Because apparently even the UFC octagon on the White House lawn has to clear the natural barriers.

Construction continues on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, DC, May 26, 2026, ahead of a UFC match hosted by President Donald Trump to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The event is being promoted as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration and, yes, the plan is to do a UFC card on the White House lawn. According to the lawsuit, the problems start with fighting in front of the mansion.
The plaintiffs argue that the White House South Lawn and nearby federal buildings are subject to strict laws that generally prohibit commercial buildings and private sporting events without environmental review and congressional approval.

Organizers are reportedly counting on a special release to coincide with America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
The lawsuit argues that UFC Freedom 250 is a private, for-profit event involving the UFC, broadcasters, sponsors and advertisers rather than an official state-run celebration.

The complaint alleges that the event could financially benefit President Trump and several of his associates, including UFC CEO Dana White and Paramount-Skydance CEO David Ellison.

It also points to Trump’s reported purchase of up to $50,000 worth of stock in TKO Group Holdings, the UFC’s publicly traded parent company.
Court documents argue that the event has less to do with commemorating American freedom and more to do with promoting the UFC brand and celebrating Trump’s 80th birthday.
The White House has already pushed back on the lawsuit, calling it an attempt to end a rightfully sanctioned celebration.
