The 2026 World Cup kicks off on Thursday, June 11, and if you’re planning to upgrade your tournament setup, now is the best time to do so, as Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner. Even though the sales event hasn’t officially started yet, early deals are already popping up from the retailer, and I’d like to share one in particular.

Many sizes of 2025 Hisense U6 Series Mini-LED Smart Fire TV are on sale, arguably the best deal for the 65-inch model. It’s 19% off, dropping from about $680 to $548.

The 55-inch Hisense U6 retails for $398 after a 28% discount. If you’re thinking even bigger, the 85-inch model is down to around $800. You’ll want to move fast on the 85-inch TV because availability is limited at the time of writing.

I 2025 Hisense U6 Series Mini-LED TV it’s a more robust, budget-friendly option than the 2026 model.

Its 4K panel is supported by Mini LED backlighting and perfect surface dimming, which provides strong color contrast, deep blacks, and impressive brightness. In fact, if you look at user reviews, you’ll find quite a few people praising the panel’s brightness.

Thanks to HDR10+, the screen can reach 1,000 nits, ensuring that the TV looks great even in bright, sunny rooms where glare can be a problem. It also supports other picture-enhancing features, including Dolby Vision, which helps World Cup matches look more vibrant and lifelike.

Gamers, in particular, will appreciate the 144Hz refresh rate, which helps ensure smooth movements and responsive gameplay. It also includes HDMI 2.1 ports for next-generation consoles, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium support to reduce screen tearing.

As the name suggests, the panel uses Amazon Fire TV, giving users easy access to popular streaming applications such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney +, and Hulu. The Hisense set also supports built-in Alexa+ voice control, which allows you to control key features, ask for recommendations, and manage compatible smart home devices with voice commands. Other notable features include the Hi-View AI Engine for advanced image processing and a powerful sound system that includes a beefy subwoofer.

How did I rate this deal?

According to ZDNET’s rating system, I give this a 3/5. It’s a solid choice for buyers looking for a high-performance TV set without paying the premium prices of the new 2026 models, especially if the goal is to get a large-screen display at a good price rather than top-of-the-line performance.

I would recommend this to anyone looking to add a new TV to a second bedroom, such as a home bar or den, where it can handle sports and streaming content well.

It is not yet known when this agreement will expire. It’s possible that this promotion could extend up to and beyond Amazon Prime Day.
