President Donald Trump ripped “Fake News CNN” in a post on Truth Social on Monday about Iran getting nuclear weapons.

Trump also criticized “some corrupt Media Networks and Platforms” in the post.

The president wrote, “Operation Midnight Hammer was the complete and total destruction of Iran’s Nuclear Dust Zones. Therefore, digging them up will be a long and difficult process. Fake News CNN, and other corrupt Media Networks and Platforms, fail to give our great aircraft the credit they deserve – and always try to discredit and discredit – THEY DESTROY!!!”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper spoke with Alex Plitsas, a national security analyst, and Andrew Weber, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Defense Programs, during his show on Monday about the possibility of the US removing Iran’s most enriched uranium.

CBS News’ “60 Minutes” also did a segment with Weber on Sunday, where he discussed the work he did in the 1990s to recover highly enriched uranium left over from Kazakhstan after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Cooper asked both delegates about the operation of similar equipment in Iran to obtain highly enriched uranium. Both Weber and Plitsas pointed out that it will be a very big lift and effort.

“So, you’re going to have to have some kind of massive deterrent to protect this facility,” Plitas said. “The specialist he was talking about will have to go inside. The situation is unknown. The tunnels have been dug. It may be a long job. Some of this was leaked to the media, that’s why some of these details are available. He may be looking at a major operation, that’s why at this time, the President was talking at the beginning that maybe he left it staring and trying to fix this issue for now.”

Weber told “60 Minutes” that it would take thousands of US troops to do the job of retrieving Iran’s uranium.

“In Iran, we couldn’t send a team to do this without a lot of risk,” he said. “You’re going to have to put in the middle of the country a secure area. It’s probably going to take thousands of US troops protect the center while our experts excavate HEU inside deep tunnels in a place called Isfahan.”

Appearing on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Monday night, Ret. US Army General David Petraeus, former CENTCOM commander, also warned against such an operation, saying, “This would be a very long process, it would be very dangerous. And the casualties would be very high.”
