It’s Wyndham Clark’s first PGA Tour win in two years and his first as an undrafted agent.
Clark’s endorsement deal with Titleist expired at the end of 2025, and throughout the season he has embraced his newfound mechanical freedom. No changes have been more extensive than those made to his driver and putter.
The 2023 US Open champion began the season by using four different drivers in his first five events, but eventually settled on the TaylorMade Qi4D. He actually made a change to the driver this week, changing the lie angle and switching to a new, unreleased Project X Titan Yellow shaft.
Clark first settled on the Qi4D, then used the Titan Black shaft, because of the increased spin, especially not overspinning and causing the right miss. However, Clark wanted to dial in his driver to favor a more precise touch this week, even if it meant sacrificing a little distance.
TaylorMade got the answer with the new Titan Yellow and a more relaxed setting.
“It was probably spinning 100-200 RPM more than he would have liked but the consistency of the Qi4D head at that lie angle creates more accuracy which is what he was looking for,” said TaylorMade Tour Rep Adrian Rietveld. “I’m happy with his performance because he’s long enough with his ball speed and if he can find a lot of fairways he doesn’t need distance.”
He earned a four-stroke lead at TPC Craig Ranch, good for 6th in the field. First non-contract win for a Qi4D driver.
Clark also sports a Qi4D Tour 3-wood, which he added to his bag at the Masters, built to match the original spec of his driver.
Once he settled on the end of the bag, Clark rode a few putters before he landed on Ping’s Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset. Clark switched to Ally Blue at the Houston Open after showing up to the Players Championship with a putter he bought at the home club’s pro shop.
But he liked the five degrees of toe hang on the Ally Blue Onset, which helped combat left misses with low torque putters. He switched to the controversial version in the RBC Heritage and was optimistic about Stokes Gained: Entering his first two events with it.
He led the field this week by picking up 12.5 strokes over the green.

Project X Titan Black Wood Shaft
You can only change so many times. Then you have to rename. Designed and engineered in our R&D Lab in San Diego, CA, the Titan Black is built to meet the needs of today’s fast, aggressive skaters. The elastic handle section continues continuously through the center and tip, delivering a smooth feel with extra durability where it matters most. Synex Technology uses multi-axial carbon fibers to strengthen the outer structure of the shaft, increasing the stiffness of the hoop from the handle in the middle section for efficient power transfer and improved control. Combining feel and stability, the Titan Black gives players the confidence to swing faster without sacrificing dispersion or consistency.

TaylorMade Qi4D Tour Custom Fairway Wood
MATERIAL ADVANTAGE Advanced Multi-Material Construction combines the most efficient engineering techniques with the best materials to create one of our longest moving weight systems. The Titanium Qi4D Tour fairway is designed for golfers who want the ultimate weapon to conquer the long par 5s and to lift the needle for the smallest shots. ADJUSTABLE FUNCTION Using the Trajectory Correction System weights (15g x 1 / 4g x 2) gives the golfer a very efficient way to correct shot formation and spin. A 4° loft sleeve can be used to adjust loft, lie and face angle for improved flight. CG OPTIMIZATION Engineers were able to improve launch without adding spin thanks to the use of an ultralightweight titanium body and advanced CAD modeling. This effect is the correct method that is easy to implement with an amazing distance from any lie. A large 60g tungsten mass pad moves the center of gravity further down and forward, creating a hotter trajectory for more distance. BATOUR-PROOF TECHNOLOGY-New and improved Speed Pocket™ cutter protects ball speed and reduces swing on low-face hits. Advanced CAD modeling creates a clean and powerful sounding design, the foundation of TaylorMade fairway performance. Twist Face™ features a face-correcting curvature designed to deliver straight shots on mishits.
