DHSUD, Pag-IBIG visit Laguna project, kKeys hand to new homeowners under PBBM’s Expanded 4PH

Officials of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the Pag-IBIG Fund conducted a site inspection and ceremonial replacement of housing units under President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH) in Cabuyao, Laguna, on Thursday, The ongoing efforts of the Philippines to reach 21 families for government assistance. in decent and affordable housing.
DHUSD Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling and Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Officer Marilene C. Acosta, along with other government officials and private sector representatives, inspected Pasinaya Heights, one of the flagship condominium developments in South Luzon under the 4PH Expanded Program.
During the event, Mr. Aliling, who is also the chairman of the Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees, said the change of ceremonies shows the commitment of the Marcos administration to make home ownership more accessible to many Filipinos.
So far, about 300 Pag-IBIG Fund members have purchased Pag-IBIG Heights units through the Pag-IBIG Fund housing financing program.
“President Marcos made it clear in his message: decent and affordable housing must be brought closer to Filipino families, especially workers who need government support the most. Pasinaya Heights shows what can be achieved when the government, the Pag-IBIG Fund, and private developers work together. Through the 4PH Expanded Program, we are turning the President’s housing directive into real affordable housing for Filipino workers,” Mr. Aliling said.
The 2.5-acre condominium development includes seven-story residential towers with more than 2,700 units. It also has amenities such as a swimming pool, indoor basketball court, playground, childcare center, health care center, and open spaces for residents.
Ms. Acosta said Pasinaya Heights shows how the Expanded 4PH Program and the Pag-IBIG Housing Loan work together to help Filipino workers own homes with affordable monthly payments.
With a subsidized interest rate of 3% over the first five years, a qualified borrower purchasing a Pasinaya Heights unit priced at P1.404 million would pay approx P5,919 per month. This is lower than P8,644 monthly fee below Pag-IBIG Fund’s standard mortgage rate, and below condominium rental rates in nearby Laguna areas.
“Every peso saved in monthly housing payments is important to our members. It can help pay for food, education, health care, utilities and other daily family needs. Through the Expanded 4PH Program and the Pag-IBIG Fund-funded housing loan ratio for community-based housing, Filipino workers now have a real and viable way to have a safe, dignified monthly mortgage, bringing Filipino families home. Home ownership within their reach, and let them build a better future under Bagong Pilipinas,” Ms. Acosta said.
Mrs. Acosta similarly recognized Joy~Nostalg Hearth Corp. in its ongoing collaboration with the Pag-IBIG Fund in developing social housing projects across the country. He noted that the developer has been recognized among Pag-IBIG Fund’s best performing partners, reflecting his significant contribution to increasing access to affordable housing for Filipino workers.
